PENCIL-DRAWN PORTRAITS BY COMMISSION

I am interested in people and their environment, as well as separating the fundamental from the superfluous. I view drawing as a means of communication rather than a “fine arts” instrument. I enjoy a challenge and all of this combined has made me passionate about the human figure, specifically: portraiture.

Process

A portrait aims to depict a person. We often tend to liken it to a photo, and may even think that the more it looks like one, the better the portrait. In my opinion, that is not its final aim and is in fact just the starting point.
